RV Campground Site Rules & Regulations
As we strive to keep the campground and resort looking pristine and the atmosphere comfortable for all guests, we ask that you abide by the following rules:
Check-in is at 3:00pm, check-out is at 11:00am. Unauthorized late check-outs will result in a 'late fee' of 1 night's accommodation plus tax.
Rates are based on 8 guests per Campsite. Infants under 1 year old are free of charge and do not need to be included in the number of children on the reservation.
We recommend making your reservation in advance to ensure your preferred dates. Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation. The site is to be occupied only by the registered guests. Subletting of campsite or RV site is not permitted.
The speed limit is 10 km/h throughout the property. There are a lot of young children and pets, so please drive with care.
Please respect your neighbours and other guests by not playing loud music or talking loudly past 10:00pm. Please use consideration when using sound systems during the day as well.
*Please note that there may be noise overnight and early morning due to ongoing grooming and snow removal activities around the Hummingbird Lodge and throughout the Whitewater Ski Resort base during the winter season. In the event that Whitewater is expecting a heavy snowfall, we may require you to move to a different site periodically to allow for proper snow removal and to ensure the best guest experience.*
Generators are permitted to be used in our camping sites from 9:00am - 11:00am and 6:00pm - 8:00pm daily.
Each RV site is designated for one RV and one vehicle, to a maximum of two vehicles if they fit within your specific site, not encroaching on the resort road or your neighbour’s site.
Each RV Site includes parking for a tow vehicle and one other vehicle. Should you or your guests require parking for additional vehicles, they are to be parked in appropriate spaces in the parking lot outside of the Hummingbird Lodge.
Campfires are not permitted in winter. Propane fire pits are available for rent.
Please ensure your BBQ and fire pit are a safe distance away from vegetation.
Cutting or removal of wood within the resort is prohibited.
Pets are not permitted inside the Hummingbird Lodge, neither the Café nor the Suite upstairs. Pets are, however, permitted on the Café patio, provided they are leashed.
Pets are welcome in the RV Campground. Please pick up all pet droppings. Small bags are provided at dispensers throughout the resort, including at the garbage stations next to RV site 5. Once used, please dispose of these as garbage, do not leave them in the brush. The site holder is responsible for the behaviour of their pets and for picking up after them. Please do not leave pets on your site unattended.
All pets are to remain on-leash at all times around the Hummingbird Lodge & Campground.
Dog owners assume all responsibility for their dogs. If your pet is excessively noisy or aggressive, or if you fail to follow these rules, the pet and the owner may be asked to leave.
Dogs are allowed only on the designated dog-friendly multi-use trails or ski ways along parking lots 2, 3, 4, and 5. Leashes are recommended. The following is important information to be aware of:
• Only one dog per skier.
• You must be in control of your dog.
• No extendable leashes are allowed. Max leash length is 2 metres.
• If skiing, the handle of the leash must be attached to the owner.
• Clean up after your dog.
• Any animals showing aggressive behaviour will not be permitted on the premises.
We ask that dogs are leashed when outside of the car and kept in the dog-friendly areas at all times. Dogs found running loose will be detained. Owners will be charged a $10.00 release fee and lose skiing/riding privileges.
Violation of these rules will result in either a single warning or immediate removal of the owner's Season Pass or Lift Ticket.
Service dogs are allowed throughout the resort and may even be loaded on chairs. These owners will need to check in with Guest Services to confirm their dog has the appropriate training to do so.
Please help us keep our resort clean. Garbage and recycling bins are located at several points around the campground.
RV Sites: Garbage is on the serviced side and the non-serviced side.
Hummingbird Lodge: Garbage is by the trailhead and at the entrance to the communal dishwashing space and washrooms.
Additional: Garbage is at the Whitewater Ski Resort Day Lodge and by the overflow camping in Lot 2.
Please place all garbage into garbage bags and tie securely before placing them in the dumpsters. Please do not litter cigarette butts on the ground or in the fire pits. We have many bears and other wildlife in the area, so we ask that you secure or dispose of all attractants before the end of each day.
Guests are responsible for the tidiness of their site. Non-compliance may result in being asked to leave. Guests are expected to leave their site clean upon departure. Failure to do so may result in additional fees being charged for additional clean-up and/or repair.
Parents and guardians are responsible for the safety and supervision of their children.
Please be very careful with cigarette ashes and always dispose of butts in the appropriate containers. The ground can become very dry here during the summer months and fire hazards can be extreme. Please do not throw butts in fire pits or on the ground. For the comfort of all guests please take note of signage around the resort where smoking is prohibited.
Please drink responsibly. Open alcoholic beverages are not permitted outside your site.
Profanity, abusive or loud language, and other objectionable or disturbing behaviour will not be tolerated.
Registered guests entertaining visitors will be responsible for their guest’s behaviour and responsible for any damage incurred.
Each reservation is based on an occupancy of 8.
Vehicle washing / mechanical repairs are not allowed within the resort area.
All guests are responsible for their security on the site and the security of their belongings. The Hummingbird Lodge & Campground is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal property. All facilities are used by guests at their own risk.
The display or use of firearms or fireworks is strictly prohibited.
Please do not feed any wildlife within the resort this includes the use of bird feeders. Secure all food and food waste in a locked vehicle, hard-sided trailer, bear-proof canister, or locker. Bear bins are available for use adjacent to Forest Site heated washrooms. Dispose of garbage and recycling in designated receptacles or pack it out with food waste Do not bring scented toiletries and candles, perfumes, or any other personal items with a scent. Avoid leaving out attractants, such as garbage, food, and unattended pets.
The Hummingbird Lodge and Campground reserves the right to relocate guests to best serve the needs of all guests and the business. In the event that Whitewater is expecting a heavy snowfall, we may require you to move to a different site periodically to allow for proper snow removal and to ensure the best guest experience.
The Hummingbird Lodge and Campground reserves the right to require any guest or visitor to leave if they do not comply with the above mentioned Rules & Regulations, cause a disturbance or are abusive to staff or other guests.

RV Campground Cancellation Policy
All early departures are subject to the full reservation charge.
• $4 transaction fee per campsite for initial booking.
• If nights added, pay additional camping fees and administration fee.
• A $10 administration fee applies to all changes and cancellations. When a cancellation results in no refund, administration fee is waived.
• Full refund of camping fees for any cancelled nights.
• 1 night’s camping fee will be deducted from your refund if any nights are cancelled.
• 1 night’s camping fee will be deducted from your refund if any nights are cancelled.
• Changes and cancellations are not guaranteed.
• Changes and cancellations cannot be done online; you must call the resort.
• 2 nights' camping fees will be deducted from your refund if any nights are cancelled.
• Changes and cancellations are not guaranteed.

• Changes cannot be made either online or the phone.
• Refunds will not be issued.
Suite Rules & Regulations
Check-in time is from 3:00pm - 5:00pm. If you are unable to check in during these times, please contact the office in advance to arrange a late check-in or to confirm whether we can accommodate an earlier check-in time.
Check-out time is at 11:00am. Unauthorized late check-outs will result in a 'late fee' of 1 night accommodation plus tax.
Rates are based on double-occupancy. Additional overnight guests are subject to an additional nightly fee of $50/guest, up to a total of 6 guests. Infants under 1 year old are free of charge and do not need to be included in the number of children on the reservation. You are permitted to have additional guests who are not staying overnight, but the overall occupancy of the Suite is limited to 20 people.
Please respect your neighbours and other guests by not playing loud music past 10:00pm. Please use consideration when using sound systems during the day as well.

Upon check-in to the Boutique Suite, we will require a credit card pre-authorization of $500 as a damage deposit - Visa Debit cards and cash are not accepted. Upon check-out, this pre-authorized damage deposit will be released by us within 48 hours, however, please be advised that it may take longer for the funds to be cleared by the credit card financial institution. In the unlikely event that the Suite is willfully or negligently damaged or items are missing, an amount will be withheld from the deposit in line with cost for all repairs and replacements. Should the costs exceed the $500 deposit, the full cost will be applied to the pre-authorized credit card. As smoking is not permitted in the Suite, a minimum charge of $500 will be withheld for deep cleaning if occupants smoke in the Suite. As pets are not permitted in the Suite, a minimum charge of $250 will be withheld for deep cleaning if there have been pets in the Suite during your stay. Any amount to be withheld from the deposit will be communicated within 48 hours. If, after check-out, you believe you are entitled to a security deposit refund but did not receive it, please contact .

Suite Cancellation Policy
Full refund for cancellations up to 30 days before check-in. If booked fewer than 30 days before check-in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in. After that, 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. This reservation is non-refundable within 7 days of check-in.
