Join us on Saturday, September 7 from 2:30pm - 5:30pm for an afternoon of art in the mountains!
If you’ve ventured out on hikes recently, you might have noticed the first hints of autumn appearing in the changing foliage and the tips of larch needles. Embrace this seasonal shift by joining Inspired by Colour, an outdoor acrylic painting workshop on the Hummingbird Lodge patio.
Under the guidance of Abby Wilson, a talented Kootenay artist and former Whitewater Artist in Residence, you'll learn essential techniques such as color blending and brushwork while soaking in the serene alpine atmosphere of the Lodge as the season transforms.
With stunning views of Ymir Peak and new colors appearing all around, you’ll find endless inspiration to create your own masterpiece.
What's Included
Registration for Inspired by Colour costs $65.00 and includes the following:
• 3 hours of expert instruction, demo, and assistance from Abby Wilson
• All necessary supplies: canvas, brushes, paint
• A vibrant, supportive atmosphere

Not quite ready to take your masterpiece home? Check out our camping packages so you can spend the weekend up in the alpine being inspired by colour without worrying about the drive back to town.
Each package includes 1 Inspired by Colour Registration Fee & 1 night at the accommodation of your choice (September 7), which covers up to 4 people per forest campsite, 8 people per RV campsite, or 6 people in the suite. If multiple workshop participants plan to stay together at the same campsite or suite, only one person in the group needs to buy the package; the others can simply purchase their event registration. Family and friends not participating in the workshop are welcome to stay at the campground or suite under the package purchased by a registrant.
